18EC32 | NETWORK THEORY | Module-1 VTU Notes

The process of analyzing electrical circuits involves understanding how current flows through various components. Two essential techniques for this analysis are loop analysis and node analysis. Loop analysis focuses on loops within a circuit, considering both linearly dependent and independent sources. Linearly dependent sources are interconnected in a manner that their outputs are not fully independent, whereas independent sources produce outputs without reliance on other sources.

Similarly, node analysis examines the behavior at specific circuit nodes, considering both direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) networks. DC networks involve a constant flow of current, while AC networks deal with periodically changing currents. By employing these techniques, engineers and analysts can systematically analyze and comprehend the complex behaviors of electrical circuits containing a mix of dependent and independent sources for both DC and AC networks. This understanding is crucial for designing and troubleshooting a wide range of electronic systems.
